My Book
What can be configured?

All our books are customized and produced on demand for you. The configurable parameters relate to text as well as illustrations and/or personalized avatars for kids and adults, and they depend on the particular book you choose.  

I cannot continue to the next step!

Throughout the journey of creating the book of your choice, you will be asked to fill in various details, which are necessary to continue the process. 

In case you cannot continue to the next step, please check first if you entered all the key information to create your personalized book.

What is the print quality?

To guarantee a high quality of your book, we collaborate with exclusive and well-versed partners in the US and Western Europe. All of them place great value on producing premium products with high-quality materials following the latest trends in printing technology. 

In addition to that we turned our attention to environmental aspects also. All our printing partners are audited and part of the responsible forestry ecosystem.

For which age range are CUKIBO books?

CUKIBO books are aimed at children up to 10 years old. Of course, newborns are not yet able to look at a book that is read to them. However, the Story of Your 1st Year for example is a perfect present for the birth, which turns into a storybook as soon as the parent(s) and carer(s) begin reading to the little one. This usually starts around the first birthday of a child. 

All other books are likely to be best enjoyed by kids from 2 years on. However, it depends on the child and the parent(s) and carer(s) as well. We truly believe that reading, storytelling, and pointing at illustrations from an early age helps to learn about words, language, and the joy of books. Plus, there is quite a lot of research supporting those beliefs.

Can I write a personal dedication into the book?

The Story Of Your 1st Year is a present for the birth, and here you are invited to include a personal dedication throughout the journey of creating the book. For all other books, it is not provided for the moment.

The name I wanted to enter for the child, is not working!

If a name you're trying to create a book for isn't working, it may be that there's an unsupported character or too many or too few letters. 

Our website will alert you if there is an issue with the name that's entered, with a pop-up message right by the entry field. If length is the issue, you'll see a message informing you the name entered it's too short or too long. If there is a character that isn't supported, you'll see a message stating no spaces, punctuation, or symbols. 

We are all about inclusivity, so if you have problems with your kids’ actual name, then please write to us, and we will check out what the issue is and do our best to make it happen for you, as we strongly believe we should adapt to our customers’ needs, and not the other way round: hey@cukibo.com

I made a mistake while creating the book!

Time is of utmost importance, as once the order reaches our printers and the book goes into print, there is not much we can do about it. We are speaking of up to an hour, so please hurry up!

I cannot find the country or domicile I want for “Journey to another Homeland”!

My Order

Is the receipt included in the package?

We will not send any printed receipts or billing information with the order - saving on unnecessary paper and avoiding gift spoilers are on our minds! This information will be forwarded only via email directly to you, the buyer.

Did my order go through?

After placing an order, you will be directed immediately to an order confirmation page. Additionally, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address, entered throughout the order process.

We will make sure to help you fix this. To speed up this process, please provide us with your full name, date of the order, payment method, delivery address and the book you have ordered.

How do I confirm my order details?

After placing an order, you will be immediately directed to an order confirmation page.  Additionally, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address, entered throughout the order process. 

In case you didn’t receive a confirmation email, please check your junk folders. Maybe our email got lost there.  Please add our email to your trusted email senders in your email set-up to avoid this in the future.

Can I edit the order I placed?

How can I cancel my order?

In case you want to cancel an order, that has been placed already, get in touch with us at hey@cukibo.com

Please bear in mind that as long as the order is not yet in the printing process, we can look into helping you with that. Time is of utmost importance (within 30 minutes of placing the order), as once your customized order reaches our printers and the book goes into print, there is not much we can do about it. As your order is fully personalized, once it goes into printing, we cannot offer any cancellation or refund.

There is a mistake in the delivery address!

Please get in touch with us asap, and we will check all available options to help you here at hey@cukibo.com
This will be possible as long as the order has not been wrapped and dispatched.

By mistake, I placed the same order twice!

Please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do everything we can to cancel the duplicate for you at hey@cukibo.com

My order was returned to sender!

We will check everything, find the mistake, and see how we can get the package to the receiver as soon as possible!

I need the delivery as fast as possible!

Each book is printed on demand and produced especially for you. 

If you want to speed up the delivery, you can choose the “Express Shipping” option for your order. This option is available to all countries of destination, and throughout the order process, we will provide you with the estimated delivery time and information on additional costs.  

Payment & Refunds

My payment has been declined!

If you used a credit card for the payment, we recommend checking if you have enough funds on the card, and if so, to get in touch with the card company. Sometimes they block payments due to safety services. They can easily enable you to pay your order within no time. Please go this route in a first step.  Another option is using a different card or a different payment option to finalize your order.

I cannot apply the discount code I have!

Please get in touch with us: “hey@cukibo.com” and we’ll get to the bottom of this.

Make sure to send us the discount code you used and the list of products as well as the total amount of the order.  

What currencies can I pay with?

Orders can be currently placed in the following currencies:

  • € EUR (Euro)

  • CHF (Swiss Franc)

  • £ GBP (British Pound) 

  • $ USD (US Dollar)

but we are expanding the available currencies, so this might change in offering more than the above 4.

Are there any extra fees?

The total when checking out and displayed in your order confirmation is the amount we charge. Full stop.

However, please let us point out that some banks charge small transaction or processing fees. This might be connected to your type of account or card. Those fees do not go our way at all.

Which payment methods are offered?

We are accepting major credit cards and debit cards, such as Visa, American Express or Mastercard. Of course, you can use your Paypal account to pay also. We offer a deferred payment option, with bank transfer possibility based on an invoice.

Can I return a book for refund or exchange?

As all our books are personalized, we cannot accept an exchange resp. return of a book, you ordered.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does it take to receive the delivery of the book?

Soft Covers are printed within 1-2 days, hardcovers within working 2-3 days, depending on which time the order is placed.  

With Express shipping you will receive your order within 

  • “3-5” days in Switzerland

  • “2-4” days in UK

  • “3-5” days in all other European countries

  • “3-5” days in US and Canada

  • “4-9” days in all other countries

With Standard shipping you will receive your order within 

  • “5-6” days in Switzerland

  • “4-5” days in UK

  • “5-10” days in all other European countries (post delivery differs a lot by country)

  • “6-14” days in all other countries (post delivery differs a lot by country)

 

If you are in a hurry, or if you had bad experiences with your local post service, please go for the Express shipping option always.

How much does the shipping cost?

The shipping costs - standard or express - will be displayed throughout your checkout-journey as they depend on the country of destination. We strive to pass on the best rates negotiated with the post and courier services.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to any country of your choice globally. The only exceptions are countries on international sanctions lists.

Can I change the shipping method?

As long as your order is not yet printed, packed and ready to go, we might be able to change it. Therefore get in touch with us asap at “hey@cukibo.com.”

My order arrived damaged!

This clearly should not happen.

When and how fast will books be printed?

Every order is printed on-demand and is created uniquely just for the child. As part of this print on demand process, after your order is placed it will be held in a print queue before the production starts. This period is a couple of hours long. 

Generally spoken, the Soft Cover books go faster, usually printed within 1-2 working days, while the Hard Cover books need that special touch for the glue to dry and hard to be put in. Those are printed and put together within 2-3 working days.

My order is late!

We do the best possible to create your order fast and on time. Our printers are also operating at their best. However, the moment we hand over your parcel to the postal service or courier service, it is out of our circle of influence.

Can I add a gift wrapping?

Sure. After creating your book, you will have an option to add a cardboard wrapping to the book. This is a beautifully designed paperboard envelope, which gives your book present the final touch. 

And please note: It is not sealed. In case you get the book delivered to your address and want to sneak a peek before hand over, you can open the book present and wrap it again without damaging the cardboard wrapping!

Can I see who sent a book I received as a gift?

Of course, we cannot share personal data, our clients entrust to us, but we offer to get in touch with the sender on your behalf!
